I initiated return of this item to Amazon today.
I tried using it two times, and the plates just don't get hot enough to properly sear the food, as several other reviewers have noted.
Grill marks are fait and few between, and steak turns out more steamed than grilled.
My old GF grill did get hot enough - but was too small and didn't have removeable plates.
I hoped this would have at least equivalent performance, despite some poor reviews. Sadly, it did not.
Don't make the same mistake I did. Only buy this is you don't care if it sears as well as the old GF grills.

I was relucant to buy this grill because of the bad reviews that claimed it was unsafe, but I have had my grill for over 3 months now and never had a moment's trouble with it. The plates lock securely, it heats up quickly, and cooks the food evenly. Everything tastes great and the removable plates are a breeze to clean - really couldn't ask for more!

I purchased my grill at Wal-Mart for $86 w/tax. I used it only four times and it started FALLING APART-literally! The handles on the removable plates DISENTEGRATED, revealing rusty screws and springs-and the plates were only hand washed! The nonstick coating began to rub off around the edges of the plates and the hinges had cracks in them--and I never grilled anything over 1/2 inch thick!
The PROS:I really loved the convenience of the digital, variable time and temperature setting and everything I grilled came out perfect. Having two drip trays was a plus, also. The features and grilling performance were fine.
The CONS: The grill itself is JUNK because it is made of POOR materials with LOUSY workmanship. I am really suprised George Foreman would allow his name on such a piece of junk!I was able to return the grill for a full refund, but I really miss the thing. I came here hoping to find something made better, with the same features. No luck yet. The concept of the grill is fine, but it just isn't worth the expense when it FALLS APART!!

Everyone who has an earlier model grill says the only thing they would do different is get removable plates, so my decision was a good one. No problems at all with the cleanup. Only thing that keeps this machine from being great is so far I'm not able to get the grilled exterior on fish, chicken, etc., that you get with a BBQ grill. Maybe it's me, not the grill. Stay tuned.

This George Foreman does not provide the heating of the older models. A hot dog would be done in 5 minutes compared to about 15 minutes on the rectangular. It uses more electricity. The removable plates are good for cleaning but that's about all. Sorry I bought it.

I've used this for some time now. No major complaints except putting the top removable grill back on is a bit annoying. The clips that hold it just don't seem to catch without a lot of twisting and pushing. It cooks just fine and everyting comes out quite tasty!!! Also it's very easy to clean. Seems to be well built and sturdy compared to others of that size..

I really like this grill but it does not taste like the food came from the BBQ.. my Tri-tip had grill marks, but more on the top then the bottom, just fliped it over for a few mins..put the temp on 375 degrees.
The plates come off and so easy to wash.
This size is big, and I think this is a great value, if you do not want the other plates, for waffals, or for a flat grill for pancakes etc..
You can use this grill for a Pannini..
I went for the large size and easy clean up..Also nonstick.
This has a temp. setting , just like your oven, also a timer, which is great.
I used it tonight to make a Tri-tip, it came out good but not like the Bara Q at all...
I have a grill on my stove, and also the Rachel Ray grill, which smokes, and smells up my kitchen, so I don't use it anymore...
This grill does not smoke or smell up my kitchen...
( I have a open kitchen, so I think the others make the whole house smell yuck)
I would buy this grill again to use in the winter , and use my BBQ for the summer, nicer weather.

I loved the way my old foreman cooked food, but I was hesitant to use it because cleaning it was such a nightmare!! I use this new one much more because now it's so easy just to pop the plates off and throw them in the dishwasher. Hopefully they will come out with this on the smaller foreman that I use just for myself for lunches.

The George Forman grill is highly overated for the price. the removable plates never really get hot enough to grill and sear the meat, it more likes steams the meat, you do not get that real grill flavor. Very poor design with the removable plate, its a chore to attach them. not a good deal for the price.

Like many others I had the original Foreman grill that cooked great but was a pain to clean, so I was delighted to see it reinvented with removable plates. I read through the reviews here and was sufficiently impressed enough to get one, and so far I've been very happy with it. The complaints about loose plates? Well, here's an idea--before you turn it on attach the plates, then give each one a tug to make sure it's latched properly. Takes ... I don't know, a whole five seconds? I've done steaks, burgers, chicken breasts, sandwiches and bacon in this and all have turned out well, and clean-up is a breeze. If you're expecting a recreation of your outdoor grill it may be a disappointment, but I've always gotten nice grill marks and have no quibble with the taste of the food. If you're a fan of the original GF grill you'll like this one even more.
I gave this four stars, but Amazon's only showing one, sorry!

If you own a first generation Foreman grill, you know the one aspect of using it you'd like to see improved. Cleaning it is a chore. This grill is a snap to clean, pop out the plates & into the dishwasher. Unfortunately this major improvement comes with a severe price. The performance of this grill is simply awful. The heating elements are, out of necessity, located behind the grill plates, relying on conduction to heat the actual cooking surfaces. Bad idea, or at least bad execution. The plates NEVER get hot enough to sear anything, even when preheated forever at the highest temperature setting (425 degrees, don't you believe it!). No browning, no sizzle, no flavor. Forget doing steaks in this, unless you like them ruined. 1 star only for ease of cleaning, otherwise, no stars. Why would anyone want a grill that doesn't grill, no matter how easy it is to clean?

The George Foreman Next Generation Grill is a wonderful kitchen appliance! I resisted buying one of the older models because of the non-removable plates. I had a sandwich grill that was similar in design to the GF grill and I always hated cleaning it because the plates were not removable and you couldn't immerse the appliance to clean it. I never felt that I was getting it really clean and it was just a pain every time I used it. When the GF with removable plates came out, I jumped on it! And it has become one of my favorite ways to prepare meals. I love the digital timer feature, which helps cut down on overcooking. The plates are spacious enough to cook enough burgers, steaks, chicken breasts, etc. for the entire family at one time, and are easy to remove, easy to clean (thanks to the non-stick surface), and easy to replace. One thing I would suggest, however, unless you're grilling something delicate like tuna steaks, ignore the variable temperature control. I have found that I get the best results when the temperature is cranked up as far as it will go (425, I think) and the food is left on the grill for the shortest amount of time possible. Many of the recipes in the cookbook that comes with the grill suggest using lower temps and cooking for a longer time, but I find that foods tend to dry out when cooking this way. The high temp sears the juices in & cooks the food through in a flash. So, just crank it up and grill away! You'll love this appliance!

It is easy to operate and creates no mess, easy to clean; however, so far I am not too crazy about it, we tried grilling several times, if you grill it less time, meat has more of a "cooked" rather than grilled taste, if you leave it on a grill longer it becomes too dry.

I bought this product to replace the older model, which I loved. Why? I avoided using the older one because it was such a pain to clean. It cooked everything to perfection, but it was messy and disgusting after dinner was over.
Then, I saw the new model. Eureka! After cooking was done, you could just pop the cooking surfaces off and put them in the dishwasher. Fabulous, right? Not so fast. The thing doesn't cook anywhere near as well as the old one. The back part of the grill heats up well, and gets its job done, but no one told that to the front part of the grill. That part appears to run much cooler, and doesn't do its part.
The result? I am still not using the grill very much, but for different reasons. It's easy to clean, but if you are cooking enough to require using more than half the grill, it's a pain in the neck, requiring moving the food around on the grill to make sure that everything is cooked evenly.
George: It's time for you to go back to the drawing board!

The timer is a nice addition. I can clearly hear it from the other room.
In fact, this machine would be perfect except for one thing. I put the plates in the dishwasher. The back of the plates lost the coating. Not that it matters but it came off black on my dishtowel.
The cooking service is true non-stick and it comes clean easily.

I own an older version of the GF Grills. A superb machine by all standards!
This one I purchased for the conveniences it offered:
1. A timer, which is not really necessary
2. A temperature control switch that does not work for the following reason: Once the 5 minute pre-heat cycle is reached automatically, it becomes impossible to defy physics and (presto!) lower it to the suggested 160 degrees to cook (for example) shrimp.
3. The detachable plates rest on two rectangular elements that interfere with the even distribution of the heat, resulting in undercooked stuff near the edges of the cooking surface.
We ditched it an will stick to our old and reliable regular grill.
I will not recommend it to any one at all!

This is my 3rd George Foreman grill and I have to say I am disappointed in this one. I have to turn it up to the highest setting just to cook hamburgers and it takes 20 minutes to cook unlike the old models that only took 10 minutes. It doesn't seem to get hot enough. It also takes more than the 5 minutes to heat up. It is taking at least 10 minutes to heat up as the blinking light is showing. I am seriously considering sending it back, not for a refund though as I really love my grills. Maybe this one is defective so I am willing to try another. In it's defense though I will say I like the removable plates. The old type was hard to clean. Now if they only could come up with a plate attached for drippings.

After having done our homework on these inside grilles, we just got our "first" George Foreman Grill. The heating elements are solid metal rectangles, located beneath each griddle plate. These differ from other indoor grills that feature a single, tubular element. We feel this gives more effeicient heating. Also new for the latest models are the removable griddle plates, which simplifies cleaning (very easy cleanup, by the way). Spoke with some folks who had the older model, and didn't like the fact the griddles didn't come off for cleaning. Definite improvement. Also like the temperature/timer setting. The product is as described with the ability to remove the grille plates and wash them. You can cook more food at one time than the regular grilles. However, the heating surface is in a limited space and takes longer to cook the outer sides of a steak for example. Nothing bad, just have to be aware that the extra cooking surface doesn't get as hot as the middle. Frequent repositioning is required.

Word of CAUTION: Although many places show that these plates can be put into a dishwasher, DO NOT do this as it will ruin the teflon finish on the plates. Instead, just wash them by hand without using an abrasive cleaner.

We "traded up" to this larger GF grill. This grill fits 6 burgers, 4 LARGE chicken breasts, steaks and pork chops with no problem at all. {I really had to squish meat to fit on my smaller GF grill!} The only thing I noticed about this larger grill, is that it doesn't automatically heat up as hot the grill I had. It's default temperature is 300 degrees. The temperature can be adjusted, which is a great feature. I tried cooking 4 large chicken breasts using the recommended cook time for 300 degrees {10 minutes}. They weren't done all the way the through. I added an additional 5 minutes and they came out great! I'm going to be adding 3-5 minutes of cook time to the recommended time on the chart or increasing the temperature to 350 degrees. Overall, I would recommend this grill to anyone. It's quick, easy to use and the cooking trays can go in the dishwasher! What more do you need?!

My husband and I received this as a wedding present last year. At the time, we lived about 45 minutes from where we work and never got home before about 7:30pm. This grill suddenly extended the number of quick, but healthy, dinner options I had. Mix up burgers of some kind in the morning or the night before, dinner in 10 minutes, including grill heat time. Same for chicken or pork chops, put in a marinade on the way out the door, instant dinner. (And the pork is not overdone and tough and dry either...) It also makes entertaining in the summer a breeze. We don't have a patio, deck or porch. We love having people over. This makes it so easy to just do up a handfull of dogs or burgers at a time.
Cleanup is easy with the removable plates. My other favorite features are the timer and the temp control. My parents have an old version without the temp control or timer and it makes cooking a bit of a guessing game. Storage is a bit of an issue, but since I use it so much, it has a permanant home on the corner of the counter near the micro.

Summary: a good grill with quirks that get in the way of it being great. It's a huge improvement for cleaning, and it has a nicely-sized 4-burger grill plate. It doesn't get quite as hot as the "old-style" models, and if you don't learn its quirks you can ruin perfectly good meals.
Overview
I had an "old style" Foreman grill, one of the smaller ones with permanently attached plates, for years. I loved it - especially how you could get the grill scary hot and get some great crusts on grilled meats. But man, I hated cleaning it!
Eventually, it died, and I wanted something that answered my two biggest complaints: small size of the cooking service, and something that was easier to clean! This grill looked like the answer.
Bottom line: I *want* to love it, I really do! And it does answer my two biggest complaints, so I'm continuing to use it, but it has a couple of quirks that keep me from loving it. So close! But here's my experience.
HEATING: decent performance but can OVER-heat and ruin a meal
This grill has a "variable" temperature setting. I'm not sure how accurate it is, because I generally use it at the top temperatures to try to get the same performance as the "old" style grills, which got wicked hot.
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Here is one of the MAJOR cautions: this grill can OVERHEAT!
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
When it gets "too hot" the brain seems to freeze, the grill shuts off, and the display blinks little dashes at you, and that's all it will do until the grill has cooled off for a 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, this means it is impossible to grill for extended times at max temperature, and if it happens when you're in the middle of cooking, it can ruin a meal. I have talked to one other person with this same grill, and they had a similar experience. So, beware - this MAY be a problem that they can/will fix, or it may be in the design and something you just have to live with.
I personally have found a workaround: I pre-heat to 400 degrees, one setting short of the "max" of 425. When it has pre-heated (5 minutes), just before I put on the food, I turn the grill up to 425. The result is that, within my normal cooking times, the grill comes on and stays on the whole time, but doesn't overheat. I don't get quite the satisfying crust I would like, but it's adequate. And if you DO lose the "brain" due to overheating, don't panic - there's a lot of energy stored in those plates, so just leave the food on and let it cook a little longer than you planned, and you'll probably save your food (also, see my comments about the "coasting" cooking technique at the end of the review). But beware: if you pre-heat to the maximum setting, it may go brain-dead too soon for you to even finish cooking.
Some other observations: the heat isn't quite as uniform as the old sealed plate style, but it's not bad, and probably can't be much better, given the "removable" plate design. Once you learn the hot spots, there's always someone in the house that wants good either more well done or rarer anyway, so I've learned to put this to my advantage!
GRILL PLATES: Big and Removable and Cleanable (and a little finicky)!
YES, finally, the plates are removable! Yes, they are finicky! But, yes, you can learn to live with them. When I first got the grill, the top plate was especially hard for me to get attached properly. But if you look carefully, understand how the latches work, and learn the correct placement, this can become a non-issue. The only thing I do now is always double-check the plates after I attach them by tugging on them, but once they're connected properly, I've never once had one just "come off."
The size is a big improvement over other grills. They're wider than they are deep, so unlike some other Foreman models, opening the grill is pretty easy even with cabinets over the grill. The size and proportions makes putting 4 burgers on possible, and I've also cooked three good-sized steaks at the same time. You do need to know where your hot spots are, and depending on the food size/shape, you MAY want to open the grill halfway through and rotate the pieces, but this seems to affect browning more than the interior cooking, which has always seemed pretty even to me.
Cleaning them is a joy compared to the old "sealed" style plates. I can drop them both in a sink with hot soapy water and let them soak, and just brush them clean with a nylon brush. If you get to them quickly after cooking, probably all you need is some running water, soap and a sponge. It's a huge improvement for cleaning, and well worth the trade-off of somewhat uneven heating.
FOOD SIZE: beware the thickest steaks and the thinnest burgers
The "sliding hinge" on this grill seems to be a little limited. On thick steaks over 1", the grill doesn't seem to get quite "wide" enough to give even heat; on very thin items (somewhere around 1/4", the plates seem to far apart to heat properly. But for foods within than range of 1/4" to 1" (most burgers, chicken breasts, average steaks), it seems to work just as well as the old style grills.
OTHER: just a couple of things to mention
Time: it doesn't do anything except beep; it doesn't shut the grill off or anything. I use the default of "5 minutes" just to time my pre-heating.
Cooking Style: I have developed what I call the "coasting" style of cooking. It's a takeoff on "resting" that seems to work well. Basically, I cook a food at the hottest temperature I can get without the grill overheating (see above), and about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through I shut off the grill (but leave the food cooking). For instance, with a 5 or 6 oz burger patty, I pre-heat the grill to 400, then put the burgers on and set it to 425, and cook them for about 3-4 minutes; then I turn off the grill completely, but leave the patties on for another 3-4 minutes. The result is a nicely browned burger, still juicy in the middle, with no need for additional "resting." Same technique works with steaks and chicken, too! This helps me work around with one real quirk of the grill - the "overheating" - but also gives very nice results on the cooked foods, too.
Well, that's about all I can think of to mention on this grill. I am really not happy about the overheating problem, which is to me a pretty major design flaw, but the joy of grill plates that are removable and easy to clean keep me from going back to the "old" style. I've learned to live with and work around the problem, and for me that makes it worthwhile. But it also keeps me from wholeheartedly recommending this grill, which would otherwise be a 5-star winner in my book.

This grill is better in theory than practice. I'm not sure it heats to the temp it shows on the display and it really isn't practical for steaks except very thin ones. It's pretty handy for hamburgers and also makes good panini sandwiches. I haven't tried some of the other recipes so I can't really comment on anything else. It is easy to clean, so that's a plus.

I purchased this version, attracted by the timer and heat setting, features not available on the gril I previously owned. And the removeable grills for cleaning! Wow! That must be great! Well, no! Since day one the grills barely attached to the body. Took so much effort to get them to adhere, I took to cleaning it the old fashioned way. Half way through grilling, the top grill would come flying off. Since it was heated up to 425 degrees, there have been quite a few burns, and a couple of close calls with it landing nearly on top of my bare feet. Great concept, very poorly executed. Very disappointed. Does a great job grilling, however.

This George Forman Grill is so easy to cook and clean. I have had other earlier versions and they weren't as easy to clean. This timer and temperature gauge is great. It is worth the its weight in price alone in all the fat you don't cook in.

This grill is much easier to clean than our old GF grill. The grill is supposed to be big, but it is much smaller than our old GF grill. They need to make a much larger one than this with removable grill plates. Overall, it cooks great and is what we are use to with the GF grills. We are glad we purchased it.

I wasn't sure if it was worth the high cost to buy this model as a replacement for my old Foreman grill. Especially after reading the one reviewer's comment about hard it was to work with the grill plates. Well - I just purchased one and am happy to say that I am very satisfied with the product. I have had no trouble removing / attaching the plates or with them staying attached. The rectangle shape of the cooking surface seems to cook better than the square shape of my old one.
I purchased the product because I liked the idea of being able to remove the plates for cleaning. This feature is great. Other great features on this model are the temperature control and timer. The temperature control really seemed to make a difference when cooking a London Broil on this machine compared to my old one.
My box contained a cookbook. It is the same cookbook that came with my old grill - just updated with time and temperature info.

This was a Mothers Day gift, and what a timely gift. It was already getting very warm here in Texas. Since I am not an outdoor grilling person, I am so happy with the GM large
grill. It keeps the kitchen cool, no oven or many burners going. I love the removable grill plates, they are easy to remove and to clean.I use it in the mornings for French Toast
and in the evenings we have had chicken, pork tenders, burgers
grilled sandwiches, and on and on. A very good thing!

My wife brought this thing home to upgrade our old [original] GF grill.
So, after reading a bunch of reviews, I cracked the box open and played around with it a bit too see for myself.
Since the removable plates are a concern of others, I concentrated on them.
Sure enough, they are a bear to attach.
And I'm talking for *me*. [a reasonably mechanically inclined male]
My wife would be using the thing most, and she had a hard time with both plates -especially top one.
On closer inspection of the plate latching mechanisms, I can see why they don't work well: Just plain poor design.
Also, even when they are properly fastened, the plates are still loose and float around some.
This could cause issues with uneven heating because of poor contact between the plates and the surface over the heating element.
A better design would have the heating surface countersunk, and the back of the plates formed to mate securely.
[not to mention an idiot-proof latch with a positive 'click' when the plates are secured properly]
An amusing note:
There are 2 warnings [a sticker on top of the unit, and an orange paper in between the plates] that state:
IMPORTANT
'Make sure that BOTH release handles of the grilling plates are properly latched and secured on the grilling machine body before use.'
Riiiiight!
Here's an IMPORTANT tip, Salton:
Make sure that your products aren't so rinky-dink as to warrant such warnings!
This poorly designed appliance shall be returned.

Excellent grill! We've made grilled cheese sandwiches, Kabobs, chicken, and more and everything tasted fantastic and cooked so quickly yet completely. The meats were tender and moist. We were amazed at the amount of fat drippings in the drip tray. The removeable grilling plates are so easy to clean. We highly recommend this grill and we are purchasing a second one as a gift.

This is a huge improvement over our old Foreman grill. As far as cooking goes, it's the same trusted workhorse - all meats and veggies I've cooked on it come out great and without the grease. The removable plates are very easy to clean, which was my only complaint about my original Foreman. After over a year of use, some of the nonstick coating is gone around the ridges, but I haven't noticed any other wear issues. Great grill!

I wanted to say how impressed I am with this, the newest model of the George Foreman grill. After owning the older model with the non removable grilling plates, cleanup was a bit of a headache. But now that the plates can be removed you can easily clean them in the dish washer or by hand. Also, the ability to control your cooking time and temperature make cooking things such as fish and steaks a breeze. No longer do I have to worry about dried out hamburgers or salmon steaks. The grill regulates its temperature evenly across the entire cooking surface so if your cooking one hamburger or 5 there are no worries as they are all being cooked at the exact same temperature. Definitely give this item a try and with the new stainless steel appearance it goes with almost any decor!!

I bought this product to replace an older, earlier George Foreman.
The grilling is still the same great process - fat drops off, food turns out perfect every time.
Even better, now the clean up is a snap. The plates come on and off easily, and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
We use our grill to make hamburgers, chicken, veggies, etc.
I recommend this to anyone with an older George Foreman - the clean up is so easy, you won't regret it.

I bought this grill about a month ago so I could have the convenience of quick grilling in my home. I love it. If you cook everything the correct time, it comes out great. It has all the easy one touch buttons for someone who is always in a rush....I am a mom of 3 young children!!!
I had a different George Foreman grill before this, and loved that one also, but it didn't have the removable plates for easy cleaning. I just disconnect the plates and either wash them in the sink or put them in the dishwasher. With the removable plates, you don't have to worry about wires or all the hinges and corners getting filled with food and stuff. I would recommend this to anyone.

Having this new grill makes eating healthy, pleasing and fun. Using the cookbook that came along with it, it is amazing how many different kinds of food you can cook on it from meats, poultry, fish, vegetables AND fruit and the different ways you can cook them. The timer is nice too because it keeps you from overcooking your food. Cleaning it is a breeze so that you don't think twice about using it. I just love it.

I love my new George Foreman Grill! I had one of the original models without the removeable grill plates or digital temperature selection. I upgraded to this grill because I loved the theory of low-fat, indoor grilling, but the old one was just too hard to clean. This model is great and everything I was looking for! It has enough grill space to do at least 4 burgers, probably 6 if they're not huge. It's great to be able to adjust the temperature for different foods. It heats up quickly, with a bit of creeking and cracking, but that's just what it does. It beeps when it's preheated, letting you know it's ready to go. There's also a timer and a well-designed hinged lid, so you can do fairly thin or thick foods and still have both sides of the grill touching your food. Still my favorite feature is the removable grill plates that can go right into the dishwasher! This grill is well worth the money if your goal is healthy indoor grilling without a messy clean-up!

We bought this grill in August 2005 and pretty much used it every day for something, usually bacon. I loved being able to put the plates in the dishwasher. Then Sunday as I was grilling steaks for my son's birthday supper I noticed the power light was off. We checked the ground fault breakers and the plug in. Nothing wrong there. Then we looked under the grill. The bottom has what looks to be a wire that has melted through the bottom and is visible on the outside. I was really surprised that our countertop wasn't damaged. It is definitely a fire hazard. The Salton company is sending me a postage label to return it for replacement but I won't be able to trust this brand of grill now and will buy myself a different brand. I have seen several reviews that have had this same problem.

The plates' holders wear out, and the plates actually start to FALL off this grill, making it dangerous. At least one other review noted this. My grill just fried, just plain stopped working after about 1 year. I guess for $80 one year ain't bad but it's disappointing and I am looking into Hamilton Beach instead. It cooked well, except for the hazards and it dying.

I would have given it three stars except for the premature KO.
Pro's:
The grill plates are dishwasher safe and easy to clean. The grill did an OK job for steaks if allowed to preheat 8 minutes at 425 degrees to get it hot enough, then after 6 minutes, keep checking with a meat thermometer for just the right moment to stop cooking before the steaks dry out.
Con's:
The first of this model I received died within a few days. The replacement from Amazon.com in 4/2005 died 02/2006 after being used less than ten times.
There is no automatic shutoff (except for the KO thing). Other reviewers mentioned the plastic bottom melting. I guess I was lucky.
It always took extra time and care to get the plates installed correctly and to make sure they weren't still loose.
The drip-catch pan is simply a narrow rectangular container that sits on the counter, under the lower lip of the grill.
The steaks tended to slide down because of the slightly too-steep angle of the bottom plate.
Sometimes the food seemed to have been steamed instead of grilled.
Steam escaped from the back of the grill and would drizzle down into the hinge area; if you don't notice that it won't get cleaned.
I personally found the top of the grill difficult to grasp to open it, and the bottom of the grill lacked the necessary weight to keep it stable on the table.
My advice:
I would recommend seriously considering the Hamilton Beach 25325 MealMaker Express Contact Grill instead of this George Foreman model. The reviews are great, it has an automatic shutoff on the timer, and it can be used as either a closed contact grill or the top can be laid out flat to provide twice the grilling capacity. I bought one today and really like the design much better, and the price made it a bargain. I bought steaks with the difference! I hope this review helps you save money and make an informed decision. I think contact grills cook VERY quickly and healthfully, and they don't heat up the whole kitchen. As time goes on the designs and features will keep improving, but I recommend buying one sooner than later. Good luck!

The newest edition/update of the George Foreman Grill is excellent. Every complaint that we had about the former grill were remedied in this one. The grilling plates are removeable for cleaning. It has a temperature gage and timer. It also comes equpped with a nifty sponge designed to fit the grooves of the grill. It included an extensive cookbook, as well that in addition to providing instructions for cooking meats, also included ideas for fruuits and vegetables. I've tried a few, and they worked very well.

I have had a couple of George Foreman grills since their inception and was thrilled to hear of their removable plates feature. I didn't hesitate to spend the money and purchase this grill from a local store. I don't know what the Salton company is doing differently with this model, but it's my absolute last Foreman grill!
Like so many other reviewers, I also noticed a faint odor coming from the grill upon initial uses. I also dismissed it as normal for a new product. I don't use the grill very regularly, maybe a couple of times a month or less. So when the odor continued with each use, I chalked it up to the product still being on the new side, thus still burning off the manufacturer's coating.
Then a couple of weeks ago, I had occasion to use the grill two nights in a row after not having used it for over a month. During the preheating, the odor was much more pronounced and unmistakably one of burning plastic. The next evening, the same thing happened. The burning smell was so intense, it lingered throughout the house till the next day.
I called Salton's customer service and explained the problem. The young lady acted surprised, as though she was hearing this for the first time. She asked me to turn the grill upside-down to obtain some numbers from the bottom of the unit. It was then that I observed the plastic bottom of the unit all melted and charred. I'm still amazed it didn't ruin my countertop!
She said they could provide a replacement IF I had the original receipt. I told her I bought the grill 7 or 8 months ago and didn't want a replacement; I wanted a refund. She said Salton didn't deal with refunds, only replacements. I pointed out that the appliance had a one year warranty and was obviously defective, and I didn't want a replacement, I wanted my money back. She didn't budge and stated that I had to return it to the store for a refund if the store policy so allowed.
I wasn't sure if I still had the receipt after all these months, but she told me no replacement would be provided by them unless I had the receipt. I still don't know why just being a George Foreman grill, and a defective one at that, wouldn't be enough to send back to the company who makes them. But she said to call back AFTER I found the receipt, and they would arrange a replacement.
Luckily, I located the receipt, but I was thoroughly disgusted with the attitude of the company who manufactured a substandard product and then won't even own up to righting their wrongs. They weren't in the least concerned about customer satisfaction.
I decided a trip back to the place of purchase was worth the time. To my surprise, the store was wonderful and took back the defective grill, no questions asked. I chose to replace the Foreman grill with the Cuisinart Griddler, and I'm so glad I did!
Up until then, I had nothing to compare Foreman's cooking performance with, so I didn't realize how lousy a cooking job it did until I tried the Griddler. No matter how long I preheated the Foreman grill, I never got that appetizing sizzling sound when I laid food down on the hot plates. With the Griddler, I get great searing and browning immediately upon contact with the food. I also don't notice any wet condensation accumulating around the top of the cover like would happen with the Foreman piece of trash.
For those who have Foremans and are happy with them, count your blessings and hope you'll never have to turn to the Salton company with a problem. I for one am so thrilled that Foreman doesn't have a monopoly on contact grills anymore. Removable grill plates for easy clean-up are no longer a novelty. Other companies are doing grills more versatile, multi-functional, and feature-packed than ever. So do your homework and get the most out of your money.

I loved my last George Foreman grill. Eventually the coating wore off the grill and it was time for a new one. Since cleaning it was inconvenient, I opted for the new one with the removeable grills. It is obvious that the George Foreman people who approve this don't use it themselves. I have yet to cook something on it and already judge it as garbage. There are four things I dislike already. First it does not shut off when the cooking time has expired. It is even stated that way in the owner's manual. So if you start something and get distracted your food will burn to a crisp and continue burning for up to an hour. The old one shut off. They are going backwards. To make that even worse the timer bell is QUIET! So now, when the food is done, the timer can only be heard if you are right next to it. That is a stupid way to build this product. The old one had both a louder bell and it shut off when done. Now for the third inconvenience. My daughter was all excited to see it was digital. Well it is digitally inconvenient. It does not keep the settings from the last time it was used. I almost always use the grill at full heat. But, the gods at Foreman want you to warm it up, wasting electricity, at its lowest temperature. And then you have to waste time pushing the button to put the temperature back where you had it last time. I hope the jerks at George Foreman grills have their corporate productivity wasted as much as this product would waste my time. Well, while I typed this the burgers finished, and oh yea, now my wife reminds me she has to remember to turn it off to keep from burning the cooking residue onto its surface. Save yourself the grief I'm going through and don't buy this junk. I'm not used to returning things. I hope I don't have to pay shipping to return this. And, fourth, it is clumsy to reattach the grills after cleaning them. This product has great ideas, but is not ready for prime time.

I was given this gift by my mother-in-law and was SO happy to receive it. She and my father-in-law love theirs. Well, she never had to cook 5 or 6 chops at a time I guess. I used this for bacon - loved it! I used it to reheat a small portion of rib-roast - loved it! NY strip steaks... well, they were a little thick and well, I'm new at using this grill... but with turning the meat and rearranging... and maybe using it at a higher heat, it would still be good... YEAH RIGHT! I used it last night to cook pork tenderlion steaks - about 1" thick. After the first batch, it died on me.
I started it out on 350 as the directions state and it only grayed the meat. Then I turned it up to 425 and FINALLY! It started to sear the meat. I hoped it didn't dry out the meat since I started at a lower temp. Anyway, after having to flip the meat, rearrange the pieces so they all would get done, I started on the second batch. I smelled a burning plastic smell.... hhuummm, then I saw no numbers, no red lines... it was dead. It burned out! The left display panel - the timer screen - is melted.
I emailed the Salton company and am waiting to hear back from them. I hope I don't have a problem since it was a gift and don't have the original receipt.

This version of the George Foreman Grill is better than the original. I enjoy the fact that the heating grids are removable, also that the temperature can be altered for cooking. It is still annoying that the grill must be unplugged after use (after all, a stove is not unplugged when you are done using it). The removable plates make clean up a snap but this doesn't make up for the poor overall performance of the grill. Easy clean up doesn't mean much when the food doesn't cook properly.

I was impressed by the removable plates, I hated cleaning my old grill. SO I bought this one. I have had for for maybe 6 months and used it probably 20 times. First time I used it a horrible burning plastic smell filled the kitchen. I thought it was just the newness of the grill. But it didn't stop. Pretty much every time I used it it smelled like it was melting somewhere. I turned it over last night and lo and behold a piece of the heating element seems to be melting through the bottom. I have only grilled chicken breasts on it, and hamburgers, no giant slabs of cold meat.
I am very disappointed in this machine, and will likely not buy another. Sadly, I did not buy through Amazon so I have no Customer Service to fall back on. I may as well have set fire to a hundred dollar bill!

Amazon have been great and sent me a replacement but if they hadn't I wouldn't be rushing to purchase another one, probably go back to one of their older models and live with the horrible cleaning.

IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE-PLEASE READ ABOUT AN ISSUE I FEEL IS UNSAFE.
I rarely take time/have time to write reviews however, this item was an exception because of some very serious safety issues. I tried THREE (3) of the grills (because I thought I might have one bad grill) and after customer-NO-service at Salton acted like I was the first person to have this issue--I thought I was doing something wrong. After reading many reviews here and in other places I know this is a real issue for anyone who really puts a load on the grill for it to cook. It seems safe if you cook a hot dog or a little thin steak or chop but when you give it a real job, WATCH OUT! Again, when I read the postitive reviews I thought it was just me. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and a couple of Chops are not such a load. 1" cold steaks and Thick Boneless Chops are another story. So I guess you could say as long as you drive 60 you are fine but if you go 75 the wheels might come off and cause you to crash and burn----Please read on about my personal experence which might be unique, except, this happened to three (3) grills with the same unsafe results. While some might say it is my fault I overloaded it. The instructions were followed to the letter and the same dangerous results each time-yet-when Amazon so kindly replaced it with a CUISINART #GR-4, GRIDDLER it not only handled the load without a hitch, it did it in less time, beautiful even cooking and searing with no gray meat (like the Foreman and 6-7 min to cook a 1" steak not the 25 minutes on the Foreman (provided it doesn't overheat and burn out in the middle leaving you to cook it on the stove) with in my opinion awful results.
My hope is this will help you make an informed decision of where to spend your hard earned money and save you much wasted time and stress and address what I consider to be some real safety issues and if you read the other reviews you will see I am NOT the only one.
The Pros:
1) The grill LOOKS nice.
2) It has a fair price for a countertop grill.
The Cons:
1) The quality is very poor. Feel the construction. Look at the quality of the parts and metal that is used. Feel how loose and flimsy it is when put side by side with others? The handles that are used as latches to remove the cooking surface (the grill plates) from the heating element are thin, cheap, and tend to fall apart after just a few washings in the dishwasher. (Note: why say it's dishwasher safe in big letters then say it is not recomended later after you own it) After the dishwasher the handles which hold the grill plates on the grill begin to "get crusty" and the springs after just a few washes become weaker to the feel. You might ask what would happen after a few months. I never got to find out- read on-- As the springs get weaker it becomes a greater task to get them to stay in place. If you fail to line it up just perfect the hot grills will "fall off" while you are cooking. You must be real careful to check that they are locked in a very specific position, or else...
2) The claim it is a floating 1" grill is a joke. If you grill two 1/4" steaks (yeah right) it might be fine. When you grill a "real" steak or chops the back (rear) cooks great while the front just gets touched and receives none of the searing most of us love. You then (to make it cook even) have to flip, move and check. (Not like the pretty ads)
3) After you preheat the grill it will not sear the meat (even if you max it out at 425-F) it has a great sizzle for ten or so seconds then it just goes so slow (this is on thick cuts of meat) and it just does not have an effecient means of heat transfer to keep the grill up to temp and when it attempts to BRING IT UP TO TEMP...... READ # 4 !!!!
4) When it attempts to bring it up to temp PLEASE READ CAREFULLY--- the element stays on to bring it back to temp and because (my guess I am not a product designer) of a poor heat shield or lack of one, the top of the grill (the surface that is exposed) begin to buckle, melt, smoke, and in my case got so hot it burned the lettering off the top of the grill. After I cooled the top of the grill had a new shape! NOT VERY SAFE! I was told (by Salton no-customer-service) that it couldn't happen like that, the meat was too thick, the meat was too cold!! WHERE IN THE OWNERS GUIDE DOES IT SAY THAT? In fact, it mentions frozen hamburger patties and fish and brags about the speed of cooking from both sides. This happened not once but twice! (TWO GRILLS) I read on here where others said the grill stopped working or one reviewer said it popped. That was a safety final fuse. A fuse that can not be replaced by a consumer-it prevents the grill from overloading-overheating, perhaps close to fire? I do not know if there just happened to be three grills on the line that both happened to have the same defect, I doubt it. Looking at others reviews and the positive reviews might change if they were given a large amount of meat to cook. (Yeah, if you grill a few hot dogs or 2- 1/8" hamburgers the grill will be fine UNTIL you load it up-try it then tell me I am wrong....
When you ask for service after the sale-forget it! EXCEPTION>>> AMAZON is the best! They will bend over backwards to help and in my opinion one of the best companies I have ever done business with. My issue is with a company where you share you safety issue concerns with and they can not even call you back or give a reply. Other then sharing here and informing the Consumer Product Safety Commison and UL I did my part.
As was mentioned, Amazon replaced the Foreman (for very little extra with the $25.00 kickback) with the CUISINART GR-4 Griddler. In my opinion and I am not a chef or expert. I found it to be the best product at this price point on the market. It starts with a rare 3 year warranty. Not many companies stand behind a product with coverage like that! High quality stainless steel, high quality latches, 1500w heating elements that can sear and cook salmon fillets in 3 minutes and a 1" fillet in less then 8, GREAT TEMP CONTROLS THAT WORK, a nice package that really shows sometimes you really do get what you pay for.
My hope is that anyone who read about my experences will at least, even if you disagree, will at least take the time to check it out. If the surface on the top of your grill had a bump or is anything but smooth on the top, dark colors on top, lettering burned off, a pop, pop, pop sound, THIS IS NOT NORMAL. Is it not worth you time to just make sure? Not a matter of which opinion is right or wrong, even if you disagree at least be safe and check it out.
This great review section provided by Amazon is a great place to share about your opinions. If you have concerns Amazon has been good enough to provide links to the Consumer Product Safety Commision as well as a great internal department at Amazon to voice your concerns. Thanks for reading!

I was disappointed with the grill. It was not what I expected inasmuch as the meat cooks alright, but the meat comes out a gray color. I expected it to cook out as a grill would. Browned with grill marks on it.

This is my third Foreman grill and I feel it was a wasted buy.
The grill doesn't stay hot enough to give it that grilled taste and look. Generally, the meat tastes and appears broiled. I'm really disappointed. On the plus side, it's very easy to clean the detachable plates.

I am kind of surprised at the number of one star reviews, because the product they are describing doesn't reflect the excellent grill I bought from Amazon.
It cooks well, cleans up much easier than the old product...and seeing it used on a regular basis for a number of months, it also represent a much cheaper way to cook than my electric stove.
I do mostly use under 400 degree settings, and follow the cooking guidelines in instruction manual.
Overall, I am very satisfied.

As many of the previous reviewers, I had early versions of the G. Foreman grill - the champ and the precursor to this model. I didn't really care for the metallic finish and all that but the removable plates helps the cleaning averse keep the machine looking new. The temperature setting is convenient and the manufacturer gives a nice instruction guide to help you pick the right temp. Also, the timer feature is a big plus. For me, the removable plates was key - either pop it in the dishwasher or hand wash it - both easy and fast. Still the best appliance in my kitchen!

Wow - I wish I'd read the reviews here before buying. Seems my experience was a textbook case: bought this because my previous Foreman grill, while it cooked well, had CHEAP teflon and was a NIGHTMARE to clean. Bought the GRP99, and during the first use, smoke poured out and the top melted. We nevertheless managed to use it maybe five or six more times over the next four months, but it never cooked particularly well. Then last night, I plugged it in, and it's DEAD. No power.
Clearly there's a big market for this type of product. Too bad the folks at Salton can't manufacture anything of quality to save their lives. I'm going back to my broiler.
This model is clearly a dud, and should be recalled. Class action lawsuit, anyone?

Pretty bad, because:
-grill heats unevenly. Cook a full grill of bacon and see what I mean.
-alarm sounds right at the frequency that is most often lost to hearing, especially in older men.
-plastic case arrived broken. It is poorly cast. Fortunately the 3" piece that was broken off did not affect functionality. There was no damage to the shipping carton-it came from the factory that way!
-the appliance takes up at least two inches more counter space in both directions than it needed to, had it been designed correctly.
-Amazon would have taken it back but we decided to keep it because we don't have time to chase down a Delonghi right now, so Amazon gave us a partial refund. Thanks, Amazon!

I read mixed reviews on this item. Some loved it and others loathed it. My experience is like some of the bad ones. The case on mine heated to the point of warping and then the whole unit just died and wouldn't turn on again. I think the idea for it's design is great but it falls short of being a well made piece of equipment. Thank you amazon.com for taking care of me when it came to returning it. I feel safe shopping with you. I think I'll get the GRP4 model instead. Not really any bad reviews on that one.

Didn't even get through cooking a steak, and it shut down, also when first started had an awful smell. Can't write much more as I didn't get to use it very long, I sure won't replace it with the same. Thanks for the reviews, wish I had read them before.

I previously owned the family size George Forman and decided to change to the newer model, it was shaped better which made for better storage, and the griddles were removable which made it easier to clean. I purchased this model and started to cook and the unit shut down no power the unit just burnt out hadn't even finished cooking hamburgers called the manufacturer and they advised me to return it to the store since the 30 days hasn't expired exchanged it for another and power problem was fine but during the cooking the top of the unit bubbled up and now has 2 big bumps on the top and I have since returned that one.

I have owned several George Foreman grills of various sizes and have loved how they cook. However, cleaning them has always been the downside. Therefore, I was thrilled at the idea of a GF grill which would be easy to clean. I wish that there had been more negative reviews for me to read when I decided to purchase mine, so I have decided to join in in the hopes I can help someone else decide whether or not to purchase one.
First of all, after three uses, the unit completely "died." The company (Salton) was very nice about it. They sent me a prepaid return address label for UPS and then, upon receipt, sent me a new unit. However, this process, from beginning to end, took about a month and offered no extended warranty for the inconvenience.
But back to the unit itself. I was VERY disappointed in the way it cooked the food. I had to open the unit and flip the food in order for both sides to be browned. (I have cooked steaks, hamburgers, and chicken breasts.) Still, the food (regardless of the ways I tried adjusting the temp, etc.) never seemed to be "grilled." The color was not attractive, etc., and the taste was not what I had become used to with the older grills. The grill itself has quite a "slope" to it, and when I would have to open it to turn the meat, it was difficult to keep the meat from sliding off the grill. Even when cooking meat that is identical in size/shape, the cooking has not been even. The meat on the back of the grill cooks much faster than the meat on the front of the grill and, again, I have to flip them all to get them to brown evenly. To me, the whole concept/benefit of the GF grills is that they have (in the past) cooked both sides evenly. I had hoped these were just problems with the original grill, but I have seen no improvements with the replacement model. I think the removeable plates are a great idea, but I am very disappointed in the cooking ability of the unit. I also find it very bulky and heavy, even though it seems to hold/cook less food than my most recent model.
I do find the removeable grill plates very easy to clean, so if that is your main priority, you may be pleased with the unit. I hated cleaning the older models, but I would trade this for my previous unit just for the better cooking capabilities.
I realize everyone has different experiences with cooking/appliances, so I am certainly not trying to say my opinion is the difinitive one, but I wish some negative reviews had been posted when I decided to purchase this one. I gave my daughter-in-law a Hamilton Beach grill -- similar, grids remove for watching AND grill opens so that she can grill (open) on both sides. It sells for just under fifty dollars. She had previously used GF grills, and she was slightly disappointed in the way her grill cooks while closed -- not as much of a "grilled" look or taste. But, for what it's worth, she has been much more pleased with her grill than I have been with the GF, and she enjoys being able to use it "open" and double her cooking space. And if the GF requires me to have to flip the meat, I believe the HB grill would be preferable as I would have double the cooking space.
Happy shopping and grilling!

Delivery:
Several reviewers on Amazon.com noted that their grills were delivered and the top was cracked. They were not happy. But I figured that Amazon.com is shipping out SO many of these that occasionally one is damaged. Well, I found out WHY the units were getting damaged. Mine was too when it arrived. Amazon.com ships (or used to ship...not sure if they still do) the unit in the original packaging and it's not enough to protect the unit. They were EXCELLENT about replacing it, though, and the next unit was packed correctly in a second box with plenty of packing material to protect it.
Here's the Bottom Line, first:
Well, we are EXTREMELY disappointed with this grill. The grill doesn't get nearly as hot as the smaller Champ, so foods appear to get a cooked/broiled taste rather than the grilled taste I had gotten accustomed to on the older model. This is very disappointing and why I will rate this below average since the purpose of this unit is to be a way to GRILL indoors with less fat.
I have noticed that one side (I think it was the bottom) gets much hotter than the other so on some foods you will notice one side is browned while the other is not. I called Salton, Inc. about this. They said I could send the unit back under warranty, but they believe that is the way it cooks and nothing can be done about it.
How easily does this clean?
This is another thing I'm disappointed with! Again, some reviews I've read on this grill state how easily this grill cleans. These removable grates come clean very well in the dishwasher, but they are so much more difficult to clean than the older model if you clean by hand with a wet sponge or cloth.
The included recipe book has some pretty decent recipes and I have used a few which fit in very well with the South Beach Diet (they may need a tad of modification, for example, using Splenda or other artificial sweetener rather than sugar).
You can use this grill to cook frozen foods by cooking than the suggested cooking times, and also use it to cook kebabs (with wooden skewers) though they do not come out TASTING grilled, grilled cheese sandwiches, and hash browns. Salton says you can also use this to grill bell peppers for skinning though it didn't do that great a job on a red pepper that I tried.
Final Thoughts
I don't use this grill nearly as much as I had hoped because it doesn't brown well, and if I don't want to stick the grates in the dishwasher, I find it a pain to clean. It also has a large 'footprint' so it takes a lot of counter space. It's heavy to drag out all the time. I'm sorry I bought it!

Sadly I've had a number of the same bad experiences as other reviewers. The grill emits a strong smell of burning plastic whenever I use it. When new, I assumed it was a manufacturer's coating burning off. However, after numerous cleanings and uses, it still gives off the smell (it looks as though steam from the food is melting the plastic top as it cooks). Also, the temperature is not hot enough for true grilling and the food looks and feels uninviting. It's truly a shame that the ease of cleaning was not properly combined with the extraordinary function of my older George Foreman.

This grill is poorly designed. It does not cook evenly. Food on the back of the grill cooks much better and faster than food on the front of the grill. First cooked chicken. The chicken on the back of the grill was ready and the chicken on the front was still practically raw. See no purpose in taking up so much space in the kitchen for such a good sized grill if you can only cook on the back half. Had the same problem when tested it with grilled cheese. The sandwich in the back was ready, cheese melted, and the sandwich in the front had not started to melt. I would not recommend this produce.

On the first use, the grill smelled like hot wires while it was cooking and then just shut off. The top got very hot and two big bubbles formed on it. It would not turn on after that. Don't buy this unit.

Completely unsafe. Spewed large amount of burnt plastic smoke, rickety clamps to hold on plates, steamed, did not "fry" hamburger. Took twice as long as book said to cook, took 3 times as long as the smaller GF grills do. Plastic top too hot to touch even 10 minutes after it was unplugged. Did I mention it smelled like burning plastic for the entire time it was on?
->Shipping George Foreman GRP99 Next Generation Grill with Removable Plates, Silver Metallic Finish
During my first use, the grilleration malfunctioned while I was cooking chicken at 375 degrees. The outer plastic lid melted due to the heat and welled up like a balloon. I'm not sure how or why the unit should self-destruct like that. In any case, I caution all future users to think twice before buying this piece of crap.

As others have noted, the first two grills arrived damaged with the lids completely smashed. The third was packaged properly so it arrived intact. Nevertheless there was a problem. After two or three uses I found that the top grill plate just falls off when you open the lid (it's hot so don't let the kids near this appliance). No matter how much time I take to secure it when the lid is lifted the plate will fall off. Also, as others have noted grease builds up in the hinge area joining the base and the top. I should have taken the refund when Amazon offered it on the 2nd return.

I had one of the original grills that looked like a "TOILET SEAT". Although it was ugly, it did work and did grill the food. The drawback was cleaning it. When this new grill came out I immediately bought it. The cleanup was great but, & I say BUT it doesn't work. It does not grill, it sort of steams the food and it has a horrible taste. It also does not heat evenly. Do yourself a favor, buy the old model that does not have the removeable grills. This new model is HORRIBLE & I am out $100-.
->Cheap George Foreman GRP99 Next Generation Grill with Removable Plates, Silver Metallic Finish
I daresay most bad reviews were due to user error! The strange smell that a previous reviewer was referring to, is just the "factory smell" burning off, probably something the mfr. used to clean the metal breaking down due to the heat. Anyway, it GOES AWAY and it does not ever smell like that again. I experienced this the first time I turned it on. I simply wiped down the plates with a damp paper towel (while attached to the hot unit, don't try this at home, kids!) and the smell completely disappeared in minutes. The same thing happened with my new oven, my new microwave, you get the idea. Also, the reviewer that thinks this cooks unevenly or does not grill correctly, hello, all you have to do is flip what you are cooking one time halfway through and problem solved! I have cooked super thick steaks on this unit and they were perfect on the outside and medium well on the inside. The only complaint I have about my time with my GRP99 is not the fault of the product, but my helpful but extremely short-sighted boyfriend who cleaned the plates with a steel wool pad and completely rubbed the teflon off the nubbins on the bottom plate after the very first time I used it. Sigh.

I have used a Farberware grill for over 20 years but the element went out. Since I had heard so many great things about the George Forman grills, I decided to order one and I love it. It heats fast, cooks fast, doesn't smoke up the kitchen, and clean up is a breeze. We cooked steak tonight and my husband cleaned the grill..he said it was so nice cleaning this grill and not cussing because it took so long to wash. He hated cleaning the Farberware grill. Thank you for a wonderful product!
